This is an easy to run program that will provide practice for your
Amateur Radio License test. All classes of license test are here
from the beginners Novice test through the expert EXTRA class test.
A sample Morse Code test is included too and you can add your own
text for additional practice. All the questions and answers that could
be used in any FCC sanctioned Amateur Radio exam are published in advance.
The question pool now in effect for all classes EXCEPT EXTRA will be in
use on tests until 11/1/89 with the new revision released on 2/1/89.
For information about Amateur Radio (HAM) Exam sessions in your area
write to the American Radio Relay League (ARRL for short), 225 Main
Street, Newington, CT 06111. They also will provide you with a list
local HAM clubs - many hold HAM classes to help too.
There are several study guides available to help you learn the material
such as the ARRL's TUNE IN THE WORLD book and tape and a new offering
from Radio Shack. You could use either of these or others which are
available and go from no knowledge whatsoever to Amateur Radio License
in no time at all.
In Eastern Massachusetts you can call (voice-Boston) (617) 437-0111 for
more information about Amateur Radio. K1HLZ ARRL EMA PIO
